Edmonton Folk Arts Council’s Canada Day celebrations
The Edmonton Folk Arts Council is pleased to be hosting its 43rd annual Canada Day celebrations show. This event will take place July 1, 2009 at 4 p.m. at the Winspear Centre and will consist of a multicultural collection of music and folk dance presented by the members of the Edmonton Folk Arts Council.
Admission is free! Edmonton’s Food Bank non-perishable donations will be accepted and are greatly appreciated. Please join us in celebrating Canada Day! For more information, please visit Edmonton Folk Arts Council.
Mike Sr. Memorial Golf Tournament
Join volunteers, staff, and agencies in a day on the golf course on Saturday, July 11, 2009. In memory of Mike (Bencz) Sr., a dedicated volunteer and friend of Edmonton’s Food Bank.

DB Schenker Launches Cross Canada Food Drive
DB Schenker of Canada Ltd. is embarking on the largest ever Cross-Canada Food Drive Campaign in the company’s history. Working with food banks across the country, the company is launching this “Nationwide Food Drive” on TBA. If you would like to get involved, please visit Schenker for more information.
Century Casino’s Summer Concert Series in support of Edmonton’s Food Bank

Realty Executives River Valley Horse Show Gives a Helping Hoof
Edmonton is hosting a major equestrian horse show on TBA at the Whitemud Equestrian Centre (just off Fox Drive and the Whitemud). This Spruce Meadows level competition will feature major show-jumping horse classes with smaller classes throughout the event. Admission is free, but guests are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation for Edmonton’s Food Bank. Join in on the horse power!
Servus Heritage Festival Brown Bag It Food Drive
Come out and enjoy the cultures in Hawrelak Park over the August long-weekend August 1, 2 and 3, 2009. Admission is free, but donations to the Food Bank is appreciated. 2009 Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival – Stage a Revolution
Edmonton’s Food Bank will be collecting non-perishable donations at the main entrances of the 2009 Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival – Stage a Revolution. Please look for the Food Bank boxes during the festival, August 13 to 23, 2009.

Purolator Tackle Hunger Football Game
Join the Edmonton Eskimos on Saturday, August 29, 2009 as they Tackle Hunger for the Food Bank. Non-perishable food and monetary donations will be gratefully accepted at all entrances into Commonwealth Stadium. The kick off against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats is at 5 p.m.
