18 Wheels of Christmas Food Drive

Begining October 1st, 2008, Rosenau Transport Ltd. will begin the 18 Wheels of Christmas Food Drive in support of Edmonton’s Food Bank. This year’s goal is to fill two 53 foot trailers full of food to be delivered to the Food Bank in December. For more information, please visit Rosenau Transport Ltd.

Aqua-Tek Scuba Ltd. Food Drive

From November 10, 2008 to December 15, 2008 customers are encouraged to donate a food item to support Edmonton’s Food Bank. For each donation, you will receive a ticket to enter our draw to win one of the many prizes for your water adventures. The final draw will take place on December 20 at 6:00 p.m. at 16919–111 Avenue. Fame For Food

Great Western Containers Inc. Food Drive

In keeping with Great Western Containers’ commitment to the community, from December 8, 2008 to December 31, 2008, customers and visitors are invited to donate food items or money to help us support the Edmonton Food Bank during this special season. CP Holiday Train

The Holiday Train hits the rails on November 26th visiting over 100 communities in seven states and six provinces to raise food, money and awareness for local food banks. Bring your cash and food donations and support your local food bank. To date, we’ve raised $3 million dollars and 1.6 million pounds of food. Join Edmonton’s Food Bank on Friday, December 12, 2008 as the train rolls in at 8:30 p.m. north of the Edmonton CP station on University Avenue (75 Avenue) and Gateway Blvd.

This year’s entertainers and musicians include Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame member Tracey Brown, Canadian Country Music Awards winner Johnny Reid, Shaun Verreault, best known as the virtuosic singer/guitarist/song-writer for blues-rockers and Canadian live favourites Wide Mouth Mason, and Juno award-winning singer and songwriter Melanie Doane.
